Your Shot at History: 2026 FIFA World Cup Ticket Ballot Now Live

ZURICH (Dec. 11, 2025) — The race to secure a seat at the biggest sporting event in history is officially on. Following last week’s dramatic Final Draw in Washington, D.C., FIFA has opened the critical Random Selection Draw for World Cup 2026 tickets today.

Starting at 11:00 a.m. ET, fans across the globe can apply for tickets to specific matches, now that the full group stage schedule—featuring 48 teams across 12 groups—has been revealed.

The Ballot Window: What You Need to Know

Unlike previous “first-come, first-served” frenzies, this phase allows fans to take their time. The application window remains open until January 13, 2026.

  • No Rush: It doesn’t matter if you apply today or on the final day; all applicants have an equal chance of selection.

  • Notification: Successful fans will be notified in February 2026, at which point payment will be automatically processed.

  • How to Apply: Applications must be submitted exclusively through the official portal at FIFA.com/tickets. A valid FIFA ID is required.

Knowing the Matchups

This ballot is the first opportunity for fans to target specific games with confirmed teams. The December 5 Draw set the stage for highly anticipated clashes, including the openers for host nations USA, Mexico, and Canada.

  • Mexico kicks off the tournament on June 11, 2026, at the iconic Estadio Azteca.

  • The USA begins its campaign on June 12 at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles.

  • Canada opens on June 12 at BMO Field in Toronto.

Pricing and Demand

Ticket demand is expected to be unprecedented. While entry-level group stage tickets start around $60-$75, premium matches and knockout rounds will see significantly higher prices. FIFA has also implemented a dynamic pricing model for certain categories, drawing both interest and criticism from supporter groups.

Missed the Ballot?

For those who are unsuccessful in this lottery, a final First-Come, First-Served sales phase will take place closer to the tournament kickoff. However, inventory for high-profile matches is expected to be extremely limited by then.

With nearly two million tickets already sold in early phases, this ballot represents the best remaining chance for fans to guarantee their spot at the 2026 spectacle.
