With Major League Baseball’s regular season nearing completion, the fight to get into the playoffs is getting more exciting.
The potential pairings that can arise in the post-season picture, both in the American League and in the National League, promise emotions just by visualizing what can happen when giving the voice of “playball” in the final stage of the campaign.
Let’s go over some of the hypothetical crosses that could occur in the playoffs.
Yankees vs. Red Sox
Because of the position they occupy in the American League wildcards, the Yankees and Red Sox could star in a new chapter of baseball’s most angry rivalry as soon as the first phase of the playoffs.
The last time they faced off in the postseason, Boston left the way open for New York City.
To find the last victory in a Mulos postseason series over the Patirros, you’d have to go back to Aaron Boone’s home run in Game Seven of the 2002 American League championship series.
Dodgers vs. Mets

The reissue of last season’s National League Championship series has all the ingredients to be exciting. Not only because of the duration of the duel between the two teams a year ago.
It also means putting Juan Soto in front against Shohei Ohtani, the two highest-paid ball players in the history of this sport.
Mariners vs. Astros
The duel among the West American League colossi has yielded everything during this campaign. Seattle’s recent victorious streak, commanded mainly by Cal Raleigh’s historic offensive quadrangular leader on the young circuit after equalling the historical mark for an ambidiester, 54, belonging to Roger Maris, has knocked out Houston’s experienced team at the top.
The hand-to-hand between the two, if given, promises many emotions.
Mets or Dodgers vs. Phillies
From passing the first round of the postseason, the Mets or Dodgers are expected to be in the next round by the Phillies in Philadelphia.
The City of Freedom team has a large body of pitchers, with which they promise to stop Soto or Ohtani, and with the added ingredients of recent encounters between the two teams, it would be a series that could be explosive.
Red Sox or Yankees vs. Blue Jays
Toronto took a four-game series this season to beat the Yankees in the top spot in the American League East, and with that, twisted the division in their favor so they don’t lose (so far) their place at the top.
Hand-in-hand with the New Yorkers or Boston would involve a very equal face-to-face between the teams of one of the most equal divisions in major baseball.
