Islamabad: Monsoon rains are continuing to wreak havoc in Pakistan. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) province has been witnessing heavy rainfall for the past three months, and 406 people have died due to heavy rains and floods so far. At least 245 people were injured. According to the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA), the dead include 167 women and 108 children. The injured include 121 men, 92 women, and 32 children.

Among the provincial-wise figures, Punjab has reported 165 deaths, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has the highest number of deaths at 469, Sindh has 51, Balochistan has 24, Pakistan-Arkit Gilgit-Baltistan has 45, Pakistan-Accorted Kashmir has 23, and Islamabad has eight.
