Tropical Storm Mario, which formed a few days ago in the Pacific west of Baja California, continues to lose intensity on Wednesday as it advances offshore, according to the U.S. National Hurricane Center. (NHC).
Maximum sustained winds in the system have slowed to about 45km/h with higher gusts, and Mario’s remnants are expected to continue to weaken. It could completely dissipate this Thursday.
According to the last part of the NHC, Mario’s center was about 860 km from the southern end of Baja California, moving northwest at 17 km/h.
There are no coastal surveillance or warnings in effect, and the NHC will not issue any more public warnings about this system.
